Securing your Wireless Router

Here are some Tips for securing your Wireless Network at home or work.

Tip #1 – Change the default password. Most people can find default passwords to routers by simply searching the web.

Tip #2 – Use Wireless Encryption whether it is WEP, WPA, or any other encryption method offered by your wireless router.

Tip #3 – You may not need to use the wireless that is built-in to almost all routers nowadays. In the router configuration you can disable the Wireless so that it will not broadcast or even be active until you are ready to set it up and secure it for your home or business.
